Responsibilities:Â
- To observe and report on all assignmentsÂ
- Able to keep accurate records and communicate using radio equipment.Â
- Record and report any unsafe conditions while patrolling hotel property.Â
- To ensure protection and preservation of hotel, guest, and employee property.Â
- Maintain professional attitude and appearance.Â
- Patrol hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and employees and to protect all hotel assets. Â
- Answer house calls to assist both guests and associates with respect to safety, security and hotel operations.Â
- Initiate and follow-up with all investigations of crimes committed against property and persons. Â
- Assist sick/injured guests or associates ensuring all documentation, reporting and witness statements have been completed within a timely manner.Â
- Initiate investigations, write incident and accident reports, monitor investigations to their timely conclusion and ensure appropriate follow-up with guests, visitors and employees, documenting all contacts.Â
- Maintain accurate records while performing basic duties including, but not limited to, camera monitoring, shift activity log, codebook and employee/guest interactions.Â
- Monitor/distribute visitor and vendor access to the property by distributing visitor badges.Â
- Perform frequent bag checks for associates leaving the property.Â
- Escort and interact with special guests that need privacy when entering/exiting the hotel through heart of the house areas.Â
- Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive guest or associate issues.Â
- Assist supervisor or director in checking alarm systems, safety and fire alarm systems and closely monitoring security of building doors, service areas, delivery areas and grounds.Â
- Assist hotel management in emergency situations by knowing all hotel safety procedures and leading/directing guests and associates to safety.Â
- Other duties as assigned.Â
Qualifications:Â
- Previous experience as a Loss Prevention Officer is strongly preferred.Â
- Must be able to stand and walk for entire shift.Â
- Must be able to communicate effectively by telephone, email, radio and reporting. Â
- Must have basic computer knowledge.Â
- Must be able to reach various areas of the hotel/resort at a rapid pace if necessary.Â
- First Aid/CPR Certification is preferred.Â
- Must be able to stand & walk for up to 4 hours in length.Â
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to daily taskÂ
- Must be able to lift items weighing in excess of 15 lbs. routinely.Â
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbsÂ
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other departments and locations of the hotel and outside the hotel on hotel grounds on a timely basis.Â
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.Â
- Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.Â
- Must be able to work overnight shifts, weekends and holidaysÂ
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.Â
- Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, 10-key adding machine, electric typewriter, multi-line touch tone phone, filing cabinets, FAX machines, photocopiers, dolly and other office equipment as needed.Â
