Technical Sales Representative

 

SUMMARY

Develop and maintain strong customer relationships for assigned service line and target customers within a geographic field sales or city sales environment. Identify account activity and sales opportunities. Deliver service proposals to the customer and close sales to increase market share and profitability.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage operators to identify market needs and growth opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships within assigned accounts
  • Identify the most attractive target accounts within assigned geography and service line
  • Develop & implement sales plans to achieve forecasted sales revenues
  • Develop and implement action plans to position Ranger to win target opportunities
  • Develop periodic revenue forecast by service line and location for assigned accounts
  • Identify and prioritize selling opportunities within assigned accounts
  • Assist customer in planning work through product and service proposals
  • Prepare and present technical & commercial service solutions and proposals to customers
  • Promote the Ranger value proposition and multi-service line sales
  • Gather pricing intelligence & develop pricing strategies for assigned accounts
  • Close sales to increase Ranger asset utilization, profitability and market share
  • Provide detailed account information including activity, contacts, organization, competitors & pricing
  • Follow-up on problem jobs and customer complaints to resolve outstanding issues
  • Support the new customer process (credit, T&C, MSA) and assist in collecting accounts receivable
  • Ensure QHS&E policies and procedures are followed at all times
  • Spend money wisely on business development & submit expense reports in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 5 years sales with 10 years cumulative oilfield services experience
  • Subject Matter Expert in at least one Ranger service line
