Golf Operations-Assistant Pro

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Assistant Golf Professional, under the direction of the Head Golf Professional, creates a relaxed, friendly, helpful environment focused on the member’s experience. Execute the day-to-day operations in the Golf Pro Shop.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES and other duties as may be assigned related to this position.

 

Greet and welcome all Members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.

 

Provide private lessons, assist with junior and ladies' clinics.

 

Promote and execute tournament operations.

 

Keep current on all golf events, # of participants, formats, dates and times.

 

Reconcile and post invoices.

 

Assist the Head Golf Professional with all golf events.

 

Work closely with the Accounting Department to complete inventory and daily work.

 

Take monthly pro shop inventory. 

 

Attend department meetings.

 

Know all opening and closing procedures in the Pro Shop, bag room, driving range and cart barn.

 

Assists Head Professional in recruiting of new staff.

 

Responsible for the purchasing of goods and receiving merchandise for the Golf Shop.


 Run all Major Tournaments for Golf Calendar.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university preferred.

Member of the P.G.A. of America. Three years’ experience at high end private clubs.  Northstar experience preferred
