Grounds Crewman I-

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Grounds Crewman I maintains all landscaped areas of the property, including new and seasonal plantings.  Assists in setting up and breaking down of equipment and items used for Food & Beverage functions, sometimes outside the normal work schedule 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES and other duties as may be assigned related to this position.

Operates larger machinery (loader and jig lift), mowers and small power equipment.

Maintain shrubs, trees and grounds by mowing, edging, trimming, and watering.

Performs basic and specialized pruning tasks.

Cleans driveways, sidewalks, streets and access paths.

Maintains the nursery holding area.

Reports irrigation and pest problems throughout Grounds-to-Grounds Foreman or Grounds Manager.

Moves or relocates furniture, tables, chairs, potted plants and dance floor when needed.

Assists in moving and setting up of tents, portable heaters, etc.

Operates company vehicle as required to run errands, perform general custodial tasks within the department, or act as a back-up or relief operator. 

Makes deliveries to Members for parties.

Smooths out transition from sidewalks or roads to pebble areas.

Assists Grounds Foreman in assigning Grounds Laborers appropriate tasks and demonstrates how and where to perform assigned duties.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED and a minimum of two years’ experience in grounds and landscaping or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
