Basic Qualifications
Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent
Skill(s): Proficient in reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics; strong interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient mechanical skills; proven hands-on skills with woodwork, equipment repair, electrical wiring and plumbing and visual and auditory skills.
Working Conditions: A minimum of three (3) years' experience in related positions normally required.
Experience: Ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, climb, and lift items weighing 40 lbs. or less; work with high-voltage electricity or near utility lines; operate heavy machinery, power tools, or equipment and work in or around active construction sites
General Responsibilities
Maintenance is responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the manufacturing shop and offices; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for maintenance.
This position is classified as safety sensitive. Successful candidates must comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including the company’s drug- and alcohol-free workplace requirements. Individuals in this role are subject to pre-employment, random, post-incident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing, consistent with applicable law and company policy. Violations of these policies may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Essential Duties
- Performs a variety of duties to support the shop and offices:
- Performs preventative maintenance on shop equipment by pulling the schedule from the log each month to know what to work on.
- Works on buildings/grounds for any basic repairs or requests.
- Trouble shoots and diagnoses problems in high voltage electrical cabinets.
- Uses and understands a meter to identify problems in an electrical cabinet.
- Installs EMT conduit of all sizes ranging from 3/4" to 4".
- Installs all gauges of wire in EMT conduit.
- Installs breakers in electrical cabinets.
- Cleans garbage dumpsters in shops and offices.
- Builds any cabinets or structures the shop/office needs for crates and shipping.
- Repairs plumbing problems in buildings and offices as needed.
- Keeps shop power tools working properly (power cords, brushes, circuit boards, etc.).
- Installs/replaces lights/fixtures/cord ends/etc. as required.
- Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
- Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
- Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the company’s compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate personnel.
- Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.

- Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.
