Reports to: Service Manager, Regional

Location: DMG MORI Chicago Technical Center

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm

Classification: Non-Exempt

Travel: 5%

Employment is conditioned on DMG MORI's ability to obtain and maintain any necessary export licensing.

Essential Job Functions:

This position will provide technical administrative support to the DMG MORI Service team. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily and must be able to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. SERVICE ADMIN JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Support Service Coordinators and Manager by communicating with customers regarding service engineer schedules or changes. 
  • Communicate directly with the customer on Service calls. 
  • Help manage Service work orders. 
  • Weekly processing of installations. 
  • Process warranty parts orders to support field service requirements. 
  • Manage shipping arrangements for service tooling and return of defective parts from customers This person will also be responsible for ordering parts domestically and internationally 
  • Assist in machine logistics; invoicing and vendor orders when needed. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5+ years related experience.
  • Experience ordering parts preferred.
  • Proficient Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Skills.
  • Experience working in a field service office environment. 
  • Exceptional organization skills and flexibility working in a fast paced setting.
  • Experience with SAP, Baan, or similar ERP systems.

Work Environment:

General office environment will be experienced. There will be periodic exposure to manufacturing environments which may present possible hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery.

 

Physical Demands: 

Frequent: Sitting at desk, utilizing computers and phones. Repetitive hand, wrist, arm, and shoulder movements.

Periodic: Standing, walking, bending, and stooping.

Occasional: Business travel. Lifting, pushing, and pulling objects.
