This position contributes to the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility by completing custodial and cleaning duties. Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Cleaning multiple regions of the fitness facility including restrooms, locker rooms, steam rooms, as well as additional assigned areas. Facility floor maintenance duties and support for gymnasium space rental set ups as assigned. Experience within the custodial services is preferred. Location: The Club at Prairie Stone™ 5050 Sedge Blvd, Hoffman Estates, IL 60192 Days/Hours of Work: Saturday mornings Hours may vary Pay: $16-$18 per hour The Hoffman Estates Park District is a proactive equal-opportunity employer. QualificationsThis position requires the individual to be reliable, detail oriented, energetic, have strong follow through, possess customer service skills, and be team oriented. Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education Clean restrooms, locker rooms, steam rooms, as well as additional assigned areas Must vacuum carpets, sweep, and mop flooring Empty trash and recycling Fill and maintain soap dispensers, toilet paper, and paper towels. Wash windows, walls fixtures, counter tops, windows and touch points Set up tables and chairs as required. Follow preventative maintenance and cleaning based off provided schedules. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. for 25 yards. Policing and removal of debris in the immediate area surrounding the building including all entrances and parking lots. Psychological Considerations: Worker must work closely with co-workers. Worker must work around general population/park patrons in public areas. Worker must work under supervision and direction of superiors. Physiological Considerations: Worker is exposed to chemicals (i.e., cleaning materials) Worker must be able to lift, push or roll heavy objects without bending or twisting restrictions. Environmental Considerations: Protective clothing is required as needed: Safety goggles/glasses Protective gloves Other as needed Cognitive Considerations: Worker must be able to follow directions and perform responsibilities as described. Worker must use good safety awareness and judgement.
