SUMMARY:

This position assists with the overall management of maintenance operations.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage maintenance supervisors; oversee all designated shift operations while complying with USDA and OSHA requirements and company policies.

Determine manpower needs and make recommendations; assist with controlling expenses.

Prepare and maintain records and reports to ensure they accurately reflect conditions.

Work with department heads to meet production, quality and yield goals.

Inspect and maintain competence in housekeeping, safety, sanitation and security.

Interview hire and train team members. 

Plan, assign, direct and monitor work; appraise work performance; reward coach counsel and discipline team members; address complaints and resolve issues.

Requires knowledge of HACCP, Safety, Security, Sanitation, Quality and Yields; cost and efficiencies. 

Solve problems in an effective manner with sound follow up; strong math ability is a plus.

Standard computer skills are required: MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Will oversee scales, PLC and IT items

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent college degree preferred.

Experience: 3-5 years of related industry 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferably in a meat processing facility and knowledge of OSHA USDA and HACCP regulations.

Computer Skills: Standard computer skills

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Travel: 0 - 10

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage subordinate supervisors who supervise team members in the plant; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization s policies and applicable laws; interview hire and train team members; plan assign and direct work; monitor and appraise work performance; reward coach counsel and discipline team members; address complaints and resolve problems.

Special Skills: Knowledge of OSHA USDA HACCP Safety Security Sanitation Quality yields cost and efficiencies strong math ability a plus.
