Job Description Summary

This includes forklift, slip sheeter, yard truck and box truck operations necessary for the flow of both sterile and non-sterile products. Responsible for all quality and clerical activities associated with sterilization Material Handling of product.

Responsibilities

Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:Ā 

  • Performs general warehouse functions involved with shipping and receiving, delivery of raw materials and finished goods, which includes loading and unloading trucks, material movement transactions in SAP/Apriso,Ā Ā 

  • Operation of material handling equipment (including forklift and slip sheet, yardĀ truckĀ and box truck)Ā 

  • Drive company trucks, includingĀ boxĀ truck,Ā yardĀ truckĀ andĀ trailerĀ between all plant buildings andĀ warehouse.Ā Ā 

  • AssistĀ operator in the loading of manually loaded and unloaded products.Ā 

  • Prepare product for manual and/or automated processing.Ā 

  • Back trailers to loading docks.Ā Ā 

  • Open and close trailer/container doors.Ā 

  • Load sterilizedĀ productĀ on trailers.Ā Ā 

  • Use the load sheet.  

  • Perform theĀ dailyĀ yard check.Ā 

  • Place temporary or shipping seals on trailers.  

  • Works with management toĀ identifyĀ andĀ eliminateĀ safety hazards.Ā 

  • KeepĀ andĀ accurateĀ account of all goods taken from warehouse stock.Ā Ā 

  • Communicate andĀ maintainĀ a favorable relationship with fellow workers in own and other departments, leadership,Ā vendorsĀ and freight companies, etc.Ā 

  • Work with minimal supervision and perform duties in a prompt and professional manner, assuring on-time deliveries of all materials.Ā 

  • AssistĀ with radiation emergencies when and if they occur.Ā 

  • Follow precise written procedures.Ā 

  • Provide training for new associates.Ā 

  • Performs other duties as assigned by Team Leader andĀ requiredĀ to support the needs of the business.Ā 

  • Attend training and meetings asĀ required.Ā 

  • General housekeeping and clean-up of work area / safety awareness.Ā 

  • TRS participation and other maintenance activities.Ā Ā 

  • Obey all company policies,Ā standardsĀ and rules, including but not limited to: Safety policies and rules (including lockout procedures); Quality policies and rules.Ā 

  • MustĀ maintainĀ regular, punctual attendance.Ā 

  • Must informĀ LeaderĀ about absences.Ā 

  • May beĀ requiredĀ toĀ participateĀ in physical inventories during shutdown periods.Ā 

Education:Ā 

  • High School diploma or equivalent,Ā requiredĀ 

Ā 

Experience:Ā 

  • Manufacturing experience preferred but notĀ requiredĀ 

  • ForkliftĀ OperationĀ (including slip sheet) – Must be able to obtainĀ certificationĀ within 3 monthsĀ 

  • Yard TruckĀ and Box TruckĀ Operation – mustĀ be able toĀ operateĀ within a 3-month period.Ā 

  • CDL,Ā preferred.Ā Ā 

  • Must have a valid driver’s licenseĀ Ā

Knowledge,Ā SkillsĀ and Abilities:Ā 

  • Must be able to speak,Ā readĀ and write EnglishĀ 

  • Good interpersonal skillsĀ 

  • Computer skills (SAP, Excel, Word preferred) - BasicĀ

Physical Demands:Ā Ā Ā 

  • PCP Level 3: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of forceĀ frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly.Ā 

Work Environment (if applicable):Ā 

  • High speed manufacturing environment.  Must remain alert and focused.Ā 

  • No air-conditioning in parts ofĀ sterilization/warehouseĀ area.Ā 

  • May have intermittent exposure toĀ chemicals;Ā 

  • Degree of exposure to dust, dirt, heat, fumes, noise,Ā vibrationĀ and chemicals.Ā 

  • When working outside, any & all physical elements of weather & temperature may be present. Inside, noise is the major distraction.Ā 

  • Safety glasses, safety toeĀ shoesĀ and high visibility vestĀ must be worn when in the warehouse.Ā 

  • Some physical exertion, including lifting, may beĀ required.Ā
