GHSP, headquartered in West Michigan, is a leading global supplier of mechanical and electromechanical systems to the automotive, transportation, and appliance industry. GHSP is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team. This position would sit at either of our Holland or Novi, Michigan locations. (Onsite-Hybrid work options are available) 

 

The Electrical Engineer's main role is to design and develop electronic products or processes, oversee their production, and provide technical support for existing products or processes.

 

Additional responsibilities include the following.

  • Ensures manufacturability and optimization of product designs through product design reviews, design for manufacturability reviews, and post-mortems (things gone wrong / lessons learned).
  • Analysis of electrical engineering lifecycle requirements, high level design, low level design, hardware testing, integration and integration tests, requirements level testing, and clear documentation.
  • Provides design, implementation, documentation, electrical debugging and manufacturing support for company products and the development of electronic tools used to develop products.
  • Applies current professional, regulatory, and company practices and procedures to develop new products and maintain existing products observing industry and proprietary standards.
  • Participates in electrical design reviews; prepares progress reports as required by the projects.
  • Develops a design and/or product validation test program to ensure robustness of design, and directs lab technicians in product testing.

Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 1 year of electrical engineering experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
