Summary:

As a Module Assembler, you will use equipment and computerized systems to produce, assemble, evaluate, process and package lithium-ion batteries in a climate controlled environment. 


Responsibilities:

  • Inspect materials, products, and equipment in order to ensure detection of defects or malfunctions
  • Escalate all non-conformances to Crew Leader and/or Supervisor immediately
  • Set up production equipment parameters to conform to process work standards
  • Perform daily machine cleaning, maintenance, error proofing, and lubrication checks 
  • Perform machine troubleshooting to improve machine performance and maintain quality
  • Complete daily documentation, check lists and audits
  • Ensure work is completed in a safe manner & maintain a safe working environment
  • Verify correct alignment and flow of product during operation
  • Read work orders, instructions, formulas, and processing charts
  • Check equipment regularly to ensure normal operating activity
  • Engage in basic troubleshooting and report issues if not resolved
  • Grade, classify, or sort products according to quality specifications
  • Monitor data from measuring devices
  • Monitor HVAC and room conditions for optimal production
  • Follow established work instructions 
  • Adhere to safety requirements at all times, including the use of proper PPE 
  • Adhere to general, and position-specific, dress code requirements
  • Participate in, and successfully complete, any and all training requirements
  • Regular and reliable on-site attendance is required 
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
    • Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
    • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP’s during downtime (e.g. line stop, waiting time, etc.), which includes cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred


Experience:

  • 1 to 3+ years of manufacturing experience 


Skills:

  • Ability to work well with individuals and teams to ensure the team meets and exceeds expectations
  • Communication skills
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Basic math skills are required

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for a period of up to 12 hours
    • Safety glasses
    • Steel-toed shoes
  • Must be able to do the following repeatedly for a period of up to 12 hours
    • Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds 
    • Stoop, twist, bend
    • Reach overhead
    • Sit and/or stand 
    • Use of hands and fingers to perform job function
