The Revenue Cycle Education & Process Improvement Associate supports system-wide Revenue Cycle performance by delivering frontline onboarding reinforcement, hands-on training support, competency reinforcement, and at-the-elbow coaching across both hospital (facility) and professional (office) revenue cycle teams. This role focuses on consistent execution and sustainment of standard work by reinforcing workflows, supporting adoption of changes, identifying barriers, and escalating improvement opportunities. The Associate reports to the Manager Revenue Cycle Optimization and works closely with the Revenue Cycle Education & Process Improvement Coordinator who may provide day-to-day direction for assigned education or process improvement topics.

Qualifications
• Required
o High school diploma or equivalent.
o 3–5 years of experience within Revenue Cycle operations (facility and/or professional revenue cycle workflows). (Updated from Patient Access-only language.)
o Demonstrated ability to coach peers, communicate clearly, and reinforce standardized workflows.
• Preferred
o Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, education, or related field.
o Prior experience as a lead, mentor, preceptor, or trainer; familiarity with adult learning concepts.
o Experience supporting change adoption or operational improvement activities.
Work Environment / Additional Expectations
• Works in both office and operational settings; routine computer and phone use.
• May require travel between hospital and professional office sites and flexibility to support training across shifts.

Employment Type: Full Time (80 hours every two weeks)

Shift: 8am-5pm (may vary)

Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40

Weekend Frequency: May vary

Wage Range: $56,118 - $84,156 per year

Qualifications:

Onboarding & Training Reinforcement

  • Provides at-the-elbow support for new hires during onboarding and role integration across facility and professional revenue cycle teams.
  • Reinforces training content, standard workflows, scripting, and organizational expectations in the work setting.
  • Partners with leaders, preceptors, and the Coordinator to support consistent onboarding experiences across sites and shifts.

Competency & Performance Support

  • Delivers refresher training, skill reinforcement, and targeted coaching to address workflow variation or performance gaps.
  • Supports competency activities through observation support, validation assistance, and documentation tracking as assigned.
  • Serves as a peer resource by modeling best practices and providing constructive, real-time feedback.

​Change Adoption & Standard Work Sustainment

  • Supports frontline adoption of new workflows, tools, and process changes by helping staff understand expectations and applying changes in daily work.
  • Identifies barriers, resistance, and recurring defects; communicates themes and recommendations to the Manager and/or Coordinator.
  • Reinforces compliance with organizational policies, federal requirements, and Revenue Cycle standards.

Process Improvement (PI) Support

  • Participates in PI initiatives by helping observe workflows, document issues/variation, and support training/communication for updated standard work.
  • Provides feedback from frontline execution to support continuous improvement and refinement of education tools and workflows.
  • Assists with sustainment tasks (e.g., reinforcement rounding, follow-up coaching, basic tracking of adoption issues) assigned.
