Summary:

As a Quality Technician in Defect Analysis, you will work in a lab setting using analytical equipment and computerized systems to evaluate and test samples throughout the lithium-ion battery incoming process. You are responsible for analysis lithium-ion battery (small, medium/large Cell, ESS) and BMS (Battery Management System) related failure parts found accident site, internal and external failure samples. Ultimately, it organizes the analysis results and serves to help find the root cause.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced analysis tools and software such as SEM/EDS, XRD, Ion-Miller (Cross sectional MC), Cell/ Module CT(X-ray), GC-MS, Microscopy etc., to perform precise analysis of the physical and chemical properties of battery cell and modules.
  • Develop experimental plans for battery cell performance testing, design and conduct experiments to collect and analyze data systematically.
  • Quantify and document battery cell characteristics and performance based on experimental findings.
  • Document analysis results accurately and clearly, preparing technical reports to communicate findings to internal team.
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments and teams, ensuring clear understanding and transmission of technical information.
  • Verify that daily, weekly, and monthly calibrations for all equipment are completed and properly documented 
  • Report equipment tests and analysis results clearly, concisely, and in a timely manner to the appropriate engineer or team leader.
  • Regularly inspect equipment to ensure proper functionality and normal operation.
  • Perform daily documentation and audits as required by the role.
  • Participate in, and successfully complete, any and all training requirements
  • Regular and reliable on-site attendance is required
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
    • Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
    • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required 
  • Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree Preferred or equivalent, relevant experience 

 

Experience:

  • 1 to 3+ years of previous experience with laboratory equipment or machinery maintenance
