Under the direction of Information Technology leadership, the Network Engineer supports the reliable, secure, and efficient operation of the organization’s network and telecommunications infrastructure. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and supporting network and voice systems that are critical to clinical, operational, and business workflows. The Network Engineer serves as an advanced technical resource for complex issues and works closely with other IT teams and vendors to ensure high availability and performance of enterprise systems.

Please note, this is a on-site position that requires in-person work. You must live in the Western Michigan or be able to relocate at your own expense.

Job Type: Full Time, 80 hours every two weeks

Shift Length: 8am-5pm (Mon-Fri, some call and after work hours are required)

Weekend Frequency: N/A

Wage Range: $78,956-$118,435 per year

Education Requirements:

- High school diploma/GED or higher education

- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field preferred

- Experience in supporting enterprise-scale network and telecommunications environments

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including wired, wireless, and wide-area networking environments.
  • Design and implement network solutions that support clinical and business operations with a focus on reliability and security.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalation support for network, systems, and telecommunications issues.
  • Administer and support enterprise telecommunications platforms, including Cisco Call Manager, contact center solutions, and related voice technologies.
  • Monitor systems and respond to alerts to maintain service availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership, project teams, and vendors to plan and implement infrastructure improvements and system upgrades.
  • Administer and support VMware virtual environments supporting critical applications and services.
  • Support Linux-based systems used within the infrastructure environment.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services, including identity, security, and collaboration components.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance, change activities, and infrastructure initiatives across the organization.

Required Technical Skills

  • Experience supporting enterprise network environments (routing, switching, firewalls, wireless).
  • Telecommunications and unified communications experience, including Cisco Call Manager and contact center platforms.
  • VMware virtualization administration and support.
  • Linux system administration experience.
  • Microsoft 365 administration.
  • System and network monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a healthcare environment where system availability is critical.
