Role Overview

 The Mechanical Engineer II is responsible for applying standard engineering principles, techniques, and procedures to support project execution within a defined practice area. In this role, the engineer independently performs conventional technical tasks, exercises judgment in applying established methods, and contributes to broader assignments and team projects. They collaborate with peers, assist in reviewing technical work when directed, and support client and stakeholder interactions through effective communication. This position requires 3+ years of experience, proficiency with CAD software, and a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, along with a solid understanding of core engineering practices and the ability to apply them independently.

  • Acquires basic knowledge and develops skills in a specific practice area

  • Applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks as part of a broader assignment

  • Exercises limited judgement on details of work and in application of standard methods for conventional work

  • May review the technical output of team members as directed

  • Influences peers through team interactions

  • Contributes to success of group projects

  • Possesses effective oral and written communication skills

  • Assists with client, customer, or official contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3+ years

  • Experienced with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Creo, NX, AutoCAD)

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.

  • Associates degree (2-year) with experience from accredited program (ABET/EAC)

  • Familiar with most applications of the standard engineering discipline principles, practices, and procedures and can apply them independently.
