The Toledo Clinic is seeking a full-time Credentialed Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) to provide both clinical and clerical support in a very busy Family Practice office.  The office is located in Holland OH and the hours are Monday-Friday (8:00-5:00).


Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. If qualified, sign on bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT-A). For employees that have not yet obtained or renewed their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants may be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.


General Summary

Assist physician(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for physician(s), and performs various clerical duties.


Works under the supervision of the Office Coordinator.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.
  • Assist Drs. with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
  • Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.). 
  • Escorting patients to exam room.
  • Preparing exam rooms.
  • Preparing patient for Drs. (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).
  • Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
  • At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
  • Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
  • Follow up with lab work and/or x-rays.
  • Administering injections.


Other Essential Duties May Include but Are Not Limited To

  • Other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Required:

  • Consistently arrives at work in appropriate/professional attire.
  • Completes all tasks within established time frame.
  • Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed. 
  • Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
  • Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA or RMA).
  • Medicare Exclusion List.

 

 

Education:

  • Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school.

 

 

Preferred:

  • Clinical medical assisting experience.
