KAM Plastics Corp is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented 3rd Shift Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and take pride in accuracy, organization, and teamwork, we'd love to hear from you.
Position Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, verifying, storing, and shipping materials that support our manufacturing operations. This role ensures accurate inventory transactions, timely shipments, and safe operation of material handling equipment while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload trucks.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials.
- Prepare, package, and ship customer orders accurately.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting.
- Enter and track inventory transactions using ERP/inventory systems.
- Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory practices.
- Maintain shipping and receiving documentation.
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
Qualifications
- Strong computer skills; ERP or inventory management system experience preferred.
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
