Job Title: Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Lead Systems Engineer

Location: Holloman AFB, NM (On-Site)

Canvas is seeking a Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Lead Systems Engineer to support its NAVWAR work with the 746th Test Squadron at Holloman AFB, NM.  The successful candidate will assist the development and coordination of the squadron’s Time, Space, Position Information (TSPI) reference system, while mentoring other staff members, helping establish standardized PNT Test & Evaluation (T&E) processes, and manage/oversee high-visibility projects under the Long-Range Kill Chain (LRKC) initiative.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead development efforts and coordinate T&E efforts associated with a TSPI reference system
  • By virtue of deep knowledge/understanding of PNT, mentor other members of the 746TS workforce
  • Establish standardized processes necessary for testing of advanced DoW and commercial PNT systems
  • Direct high-visibility projects under the LRKC initiative (beginning in FY27 if/when funding is realized), helping expand 746TS PNT test capabilities over the next decade

Job Requirements

  • Must possess bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical discipline; master’s degree highly desirable
  • Must have minimum 5 years of experience in both PNT systems and T&E projects; experience working at a DoD installation highly desirable
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; customer interaction and presentation abilities required
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Must be willing to travel as required (up to 10%)
  • Must be a US citizen
