Job DetailsJob Location: FLA-Daytona Beach Thrift - Holly Hill, FL 32117Position Type: Part Time with Benefits 20 or MoreEducation Level: High School Diploma/GEDSalary Range: $14.00 - $14.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: Greater than 50%Job Shift: DayJob Category: StoreSchedule/Hours: M– F 10:00a.m.– 3.30p.m. (29 hours per week) This position is responsible for: Assists in picking-up donations by riding in a Salvation Army truck and lifting, carrying, and/or hauling donations into the truck and unloading the same at the warehouse; assists in navigating for the Truck Driver; ensures the accountability, security, and safety of the donations when in route; assists in maintaining the vehicle in proper working order and in compliance with established standards. Receives, sorts, prices and prepares donated items for display in the store; determines suitability and pricing of items based on established standards; assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse area. Key Responsibilities: Rides in Salvation Army Truck on scheduled route in order to pick-up donation items; assist in navigating driver to destination by reading amp or written directions Inspect donations items briefly to ensure they can be used according to established policies and procedures; explain policy to customers regarding type of items that cam be accepted Lifts carries and or hauls donations into truck; packs items in truck in a manner that maximizes use of space, protects items from damage and ensure safety. Hang clothing on hanger and place same clothes on rack Pack items with specially coded tickets and/or prices in accordance with established procedures Maintain warehouse area in a neat and order manner; clean floors, tables, and work areas. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects Ability to read and follow a map and/or handwritten instructions Abilit to determine the condition of the items in accordance to established standards Ability to speak English language Ability to meet attendance requirements. Moderate mobility: Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
