JOB TITLE: ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN II (ELECTII)                                     

DEPARTMENT: AIRCRAFT INTEGRATIONS

REPORTS TO:  AIRCRAFT INTEGRATION SUPERVISOR

CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT

STATUS: FULL-TIME

 

 

Job Summary:


Under indirect supervision, responsible for performing the full range of duties in electrical systems for aircraft installations.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:


    • Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered before, during, and after production.  
    • Install and maintain electrical systems including cable harness/components 
    • Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments.  
    • Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, In accordance with Electrical Drawings/schematics.
    • Set up and operate test equipment.
    • Analyze and interpret test information to resolve design-related problems.
    • Ability to understand Redline processes while working closely with supervisor. 
    • Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical component/wire harness, IAW the electrical Drawing /schematics. 
    • Perform other duties as are necessary and/or required.

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of experience with electronic systems, electronics troubleshooting, electronic testing design, analyzing information.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Recurring FOD training and awareness, upon hire and annually
  • Ability to comprehend schematics and integration/installation drawings.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A 620 certification

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:
    • Ability to use hands and arms for repetitive inspection and measuring tasks
    • Visual ability to inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, defects, and workmanship.
    • Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling
    • Perceiving differences in wire and indicator light colors
    • Operating hand and power tools
    • Lifting, carrying, and/or moving tools, equipment, and components weighing up to 50 pounds
    • Working in confined spaces and around aircraft
    • Ascending and descending ladders or stairs as required
