HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST


Reports to: Vice President, People Success


FLSA Status: Non-exempt 


SUMMARY


The Human Resources Generalist plays a pivotal role in fostering a positive work environment by supporting the company’s people processes and programs. This role focuses on maintaining compliance, enhancing employee experience, and contributing to the development of a positive organizational culture. You will work closely with the People Success team to ensure the well-being of employee-owners and to maintain a culture that aligns with the company's values. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hiring/Onboarding/Offboarding: Manage new hire data entry for all companies into HRIS and other systems. Communicate with new hires about onboarding steps and ensure proper documentation, including I-9s. Coordinate and communicate orientation activities. Establish team members setup in timeclock system. Support offboarding processes, including termination documentation and system updates and assist with scheduling benefits meeting and exit interview. May assist with talent acquisition activities. 
  • Recruiting: Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation sessions. May assist with job postings, screenings, interviews and scheduling.
  • Compliance: In all areas of responsibility, ensure legal compliance by adhering to state and federal employment laws and regulations. Support the annual Employee Handbook updates. Maintain proper leave documentation. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HRIS systems. Launch and track LMS trainings to appropriate team members.
  • Culture & Engagement: Contribute to building a positive company culture through support of People Success initiatives. Administer employee eNPS surveys, coordinate anniversaries and employee recognitions and update slides/tvs with information.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including reporting, maintenance of People Success related communications, etc.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS or BA in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience is preferred in one or more of the following areas: human resources, employee relations, payroll, benefits support, people operations
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems preferred
  • Intermediate skills with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook.
  • Collaborative and able to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.


WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work is typically performed in normal office conditions
  • Some limited travel may be required for training or company events
