Responsibilities:
This is a product design position for a creative and motivated entry level mechanical engineer.  In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and testing of next generation enterprise RFID products, as well as support our current industry-leading product line.  This is a hands-on position where you will work alongside senior engineers to bring innovative concepts from the drawing board to full-scale production, helping to solve real-world challenges for our customers. Prior experience via internships, co-ops, and/or a master’s degree is highly valued but not required.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to assist in the mechanical design and development of rugged, high-performance RFID products.
- Work through all phases of product development from concept brainstorming to production release.
- Create 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings using Creo for both new product development and product sustaining activities.
- Design, analyze, prototype, and test electromechanical parts, subassemblies, and systems.
- Engage directly with JDMs and suppliers on cost-effective part designs and manufacturing processes for high-volume production.
- Perform tolerance analyses as well as stress and thermal analyses using hand calculations.
- Use problem solving skills to troubleshoot customer issues and perform root cause analyses.
- Propose viable solutions for engineering problems and then execute those solutions in detail, while working within schedule and budget constraints.
- Document design specifications, test procedures, and results according to Zebra’s quality standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and 1+ year experience in Mechanical Engineering
Preferred Requirements:
- Prior experience via internships, co-ops, and/or a master’s degree is highly valued but not required.
Proficiency using Creo CAD software for part/assembly design and drafting
Solid understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Salary: USD 70000.00 - USD 90000.00 Yearly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
