Our Behavioral Health team works in a 150-bed inpatient facility designed to foster healing, safety, and innovation. With a 1:6–1:8 nurse-to-patient ratio, you’ll benefit from balanced assignments and a supportive, team-oriented culture. We provide care across child, adult, geriatric, and forensic populations while promoting strong work-life balance and professional growth.
How you’ll contribute
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role will:
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
Conduct patient observations and safety checks
Administer medications safely and according to protocol
Transcribe and carry out physician orders accurately
Document patient status, response to interventions, and progress toward goals
Assist with psychiatric emergencies and crisis stabilization
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and care expectations
Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring dignity, rights, and confidentiality
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning
Support detox monitoring protocols as applicable
Promote a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment

What we’re looking for
Applicants should have a current LPN license in the state of Massachusetts and graduate from an accredited practical nursing program. Additional requirements include:
Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required upon hire
CPI or Handle With Care certification preferred or obtained within 30 days
Behavioral Health, Psychiatric, Detox, or Med/Surg experience preferred
Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices preferred
Strong communication and de-escalation skills
Ability to remain calm and compassionate in high-pressure situations
Commitment to patient-centered care

3x12, Days (7a–7p), rotating weekends
