College (Career) Liaison

 

Lifesteps is a non-profit human services organization which has been serving Western Pennsylvania for nearly 100 years by “helping individuals and families with life's changing needs”. The Agency provides programs and services to help those with special needs live to their fullest potential. The College(Career)Liaison is focused on marketing the Organization’s programs/services and career opportunities. The Recruitment Liaison will develop strategies to engage program leadership, referral sources and business partners to achieve enrollment and staffing goals. The Recruitment Liaison monitors industry trends and identifies opportunities.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  1. Develops partnerships with service delivery professionals and referral sources to maintain and/or grow existing business and identify new    opportunities.
  2. Promotes program(s) and employment opportunities through community/consumer educational events.
  3. Assists Marketing, Recruitment and Program leadership with grass-roots marketing  efforts for the achievement of enrollment and/or recruitment goals.
  4. Builds a strong employer brand within the community.
  5. Drives program growth and development through strategic marketing efforts by attending community events and identifies strategies to drive the achievement of enrollment and recruitment goals.
  6. Build relationships, and market job opportunities to universities, colleges, Vo-techs and educational institutions, creating a pipeline of talent to recruit students and recent graduates.
  7. Develop relationships with educational institutions to establish internship programs (paid and un-paid).
  8. Contact university career counselors and provide materials about  internship programs and job opportunities.
  9. Assist with marketing and hosting in-house educational career days for students and/or recent graduates.
  10. Represent the Organization at career fairs and colleges including classroom   presentations and interacting with students.
  11. Promote Organizational opportunities to alumni communities.
  12. Report recruiting metrics after career events, including number of candidates attending the event(s), number interviewed and hired.
  13. Source potential candidates and promote the Organization on social media.
  14. Market the Organization’s programs/services and employment opportunities by promoting the Organizations vision, mission and guiding principles.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

Required:  

  • High School Diploma/GED and five (5) years of outside sales experience OR an Associate’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate marketing activities into program enrollment and/or staff recruitment goals
  • Prior experience with grass roots marketing and the ability to build relationships
  • High attention to detail with a focus on fact-based recommendations and/or decision making
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Current driver’s license and the ability to travel for business utilizing personal vehicle

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field
  • Prior experience in Human Services, graphic design, advertising, social media marketing and/or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Prior outside sales experience
