Come and be part of a dynamic team! Rennco, based in Homer, MI, manufactures semi-automatic and fully automatic vertical bagging systems as well as medical device heat sealing machines. Rennco is a division of Pro Mach, a leading provider of integrated packaging and processing solutions for over 20,000 customers worldwide. Through multiple brands, Pro Mach provides product packaging and processing equipment, PMMI certified training, installation, parts, and service for primary and secondary packaging, flexible packaging, end-of-line packaging, and identification and tracking.

·        Commission, download, test and debug controls systems on various types of packaging equipment.

·        Create full design packages including BOM, detail drawings, assembly drawings and layouts.

·        Check and validate all final design documentation, parts lists and drawings according to design and contract requirements, to ensure completeness and accuracy.

·        Develop PLC, HMI and Motion Control programs for assigned projects.

·        Provide technical support to the service department and customers in the field as needed.

·        Research and evaluate new controls products, giving feedback and recommendations.

·        Confers with mechanical design and manufacturing personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develop electrical designs.

·        Educate, teach and provide training and/or resources to other employees when required.

·        May be required to travel for projects.

Complete other tasks as assigned by Director of Engineering

·        3-5 years in the field or related area and is familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures.

·        Proficient with current versions of RA RsLogix 500 and 5000 software. Other controls-related software experience is a plus. Experience with designing electrical schematics and control panel layouts using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electric or similar drawing platform. Experience with Microsoft Office applications like word, excel and outlook is required.

·        4 year degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field desired – or –

·        Equivalent combination of education and experience.

·        Good interpersonal skills and ability to successfully handle a multi-tasked role.

·        Ability to handle and coordinate multiple projects concurrently.

·        Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

·        Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

·        Working knowledge of applications and components including pneumatics, I/O devices, AC/DC drives, servos, operator interfaces, Motion Control, network communications, etc.

·        Experience in packaging equipment preferred.
