Tel Hai is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Supervisor for our Lakeview Personal Care. The Activities Supervisor will plan, organize, and participate in therapeutic activities that promote physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and spiritual wellness for our Lakeview Personal Care residents, including Lakehouse, our secured dementia unit. This role ensures that services are provided in a respectful, caring, and professional manner, adhering to Personal Care Home regulations and Tel Hai standards. This Activities Supervisor will only be responsible for our Personal Care level of care (approximately 75 residents) and 3 Activities team members, and will report to the Personal Care Administrator.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design and implement wellness activities tailored to the cognitive and physical needs of residents, including games, crafts, exercise, outings, social events, etc.
  • Develop and generate monthly program calendars, including events created in conjunction with Wellness teams from other levels of care.
  • Develops publications, as approved by the Administrator of Lakeview and in cooperation with the Marketing team, to promote and publicize activities.
  • Supervise Activity Associates, ensuring accurate documentation of resident participation and changes in social interaction and functional capacity.
  • Collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to incorporate restorative benefits into activities.
  • Provide individual attention to residents to reduce social isolation and enhance their quality of life.
  • Arrange and drive transportation for resident outings.
  • Maintain and manage activity supplies and equipment.
  • Schedule and coordinate volunteer activities and entertainment programs.





Requirements


Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy, Education, or Social Sciences preferred.
  • Certification from the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP), National Council for Therapeutic Recreation (NCTRC), or as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification required (can be obtained after employment).
  • Valid PA Driver’s License in good standing.
  • Previous experience in supervision and geriatric care setting with demonstrated ability to positively interact and influence persons of differing backgrounds, cultures, interests, needs and physical/cognitive abilities preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in music, arts, fitness, or education is a plus.
