Your Opportunity

To support current projects and future opportunities, we are seeking an Environmental Monitor to join our Transportation practice in Honolulu. Our team is dedicated to helping our clients manage their environmental issues relating to transportation and infrastructure. We support our clients through the strategic planning, environmental assessment, permitting, construction, and operational phases of their projects. This full-time position requires an individual with knowledge of construction best management practices, experience with Hawaii environmental resource or impact assessment, understanding of erosion and sediment control practices, as well as a willingness to work with contractors to ensure compliance with environmental permitting requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities

Coordinate environmental permitting for local construction projects
Frequent visits to active construction sites to inspect and monitor activities with respect to environmental requirements
Complete monitoring and inspection reports to document environmental compliance
Develop and review of environmental management plans
Implement and monitor erosion and sediment control measures to ensure protection of water quality
Monitor contractor management of contaminated and hazardous materials

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
