COURIER DRIVER

Position Summary

Overall responsibilities for pickup and delivery of documents and other materials to and from various branches and locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Operates assigned Company owned vehicle to pick up checks, documents, mail and other materials, and delivers to specific locations.

1. Performs special deliveries and pickups at different locations as directed by the supervisor.  May cover other routes as necessary.

1. Performs clerical duties, answers phones, takes and relays messages.

1. Operates the Company vehicle following all traffic rules and regulations.

1. Reports all problems, incidents and accidents immediately to the General Manager and completes any documentation as required.

1. Maintains a clean and safe work environment and works harmoniously with team members.

1. Complies with all Federal, State and local laws as applicable to the scope of their duties and responsibilities.

1. Maintains good personal hygiene and a professional appearance at all times and while in uniform, ensures uniform is clean and wrinkle free.

1. Performs all and/or other duties as assigned.

1. Understands and complies with the following policies and procedures as described in new hire orientation, annual re-training programs, and any other policies or procedures as identified and deemed necessary:

• Sexual Harassment & Workplace Violence
• Work Injury Prevention
• Drug Free Workplace
• Company House & Safety Rules

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid State of Hawaii driver’s license
• Must have an acceptable Driving History Record
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Certification
• Must be able to pass the Human Performance Exam (HPE)
• Must be able to pass a math test

Other Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to push heavy carts and hand trucks
• Knowledge of streets of the island is helpful

Work Days and Hours:

• Hours vary by shift/route
