We are currently seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and overall functionality of our facilities and equipment throughout Hawaii. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with experience in facility maintenance, building systems, HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, preventative maintenance, and grounds maintenance.

Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and overall condition of company facilities, grounds, and equipment. This role performs routine inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and facility improvements across multiple building systems.

The position works closely with internal teams and approved contractors to ensure facilities remain safe, compliant, operational, and well-maintained.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Experience in facility maintenance, building maintenance, commercial property maintenance, construction trades, or facility management
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, and structural systems
• Experience performing preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs
• Basic carpentry, painting, general construction, and facility repair skills
• Experience with groundskeeping, landscaping, and exterior property maintenance preferred
• Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve maintenance issues safely and efficiently
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices, OSHA principles, and regulatory compliance
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects
• Experience coordinating with vendors, contractors, and service providers
• Ability to successfully pass required background checks, including employer, customer, and/or SIDA requirements
• Ability to travel between company locations on Oahu, Maui, Kauai (Lihue), and Hawaii Island (Kona)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range

$80,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on education, skills, and experience.

In compliance with Hawaii pay transparency requirements, the posted compensation range reflects the anticipated compensation for this position. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity.

Key Responsibilities

Facility Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on company facilities, equipment, and grounds.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and structural systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility-related emergencies.
• Repair and maintain facility components, including doors, windows, walls, floors, fixtures, and equipment.
• Assist with installation and maintenance of ventilation and refrigeration systems.

Grounds & Exterior Maintenance

• Maintain exterior areas through groundskeeping, landscaping, debris removal, and property upkeep.
• Perform parking lot and pathway maintenance to ensure safe access and operations.
• Identify and correct potential safety hazards throughout company facilities.

Operational Support & Compliance

• Coordinate approved repairs and projects with third-party contractors and vendors.
• Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies in a safe and organized manner.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to facility reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate maintenance tools, power tools, and equipment.
