Here at Oahu Country Club, we are currently looking for an experienced full-time server and if you have the skills, come join our team. Local candidates strongly preferred, candidates must be available for an in-person interview. We are a non-tipping club.
Responsibilities:
- Easily accessible to Club Members on daily basis.Â
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times. Approach all encounters with members, guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
- Able to work in a multi-cultural workplace. Become familiar with local customs and nuances at the club.Â
- Maintain regular attendance in effort of being visible to operations team and Club Members as well as monitor work performance and member satisfaction.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing proper work attire and name tagÂ
- Be a good communicator both verbally and written. Maintain communication with all departments of the Club – golf pro shop, facilities, grounds. Strong two-way communication with peers and senior leadership.Â
- Always comply with Oahu Country Club standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient club operations
- Maintain all Club service standards. Set example and do not implement or encourage short cuts.Â
- Learn and understand all Club Member Rules and other special conditions that are managed by the F&B team such as Honolulu County liquor regulations.Â
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of service area and see that services are continually executed at the expected level.Â
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the entire bar and surrounding area.Â
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
- Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc., from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of business needs.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by associates, members, and guests
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.Â
- Participate in Club Public Relations events as needed
- Willingly performs other duties as required
