Assistant Teacher, Playground - Middle School

The Assistant Teacher’s primary role will be to help provide a safe learning environment by supporting experiences in the outdoor areas and other areas of the school. In the outdoor areas, the Assistant Teacher actively ensures the safety and well-being of students, play areas and grounds for safety.  They will also help with supervision in areas such as the cafeteria, snack bar, and spaces in-and-around Case Middle School.  The ideal candidate will understand the developmental stages of children, the ability to develop and support a positive learning environment, and the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with students.  If you thrive in a team-oriented and collaborative environment, have excellent communication skills, have a passion for lifelong learning, and are able to motivate students, we invite you to apply!

Position Details: 

• Work Year: 9 Months 
• School Year: 2025 - 2026 
• Work Hours:  Monday- Friday, 10:45am - 2:15pm
• Minimum Salary Range: $35,153 - $68,099 (Salary will be prorated based on actual FTE and instrutional days)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.  
• CPR Certification preferred.
• Two (2) years of experience supervising students in an elementary or middle school setting.
• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds; an understanding of the developmental needs of young children, sensitivity to each individual student’s needs; and ability to appreciate the variety of perspectives offered by individual viewpoints, disciplines and cultural understandings.
