POKE CLERK

Job Summary:
The Poke Clerk works in the store’s food service area, preparing and serving poke and other ready-to-eat items while providing excellent customer service. This role is responsible for accurate order handling, food safety, and maintaining a clean, organized, and appealing service area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers, take orders, and provide friendly, efficient service.

• Prepare and serve poke and related items according to customer requests.

• Weigh, label, and price products accurately.

• Operate cash register and process payments.

• Maintain clean, sanitized, and well-stocked displays, counters, and work areas.

• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

• Ensure products are fresh, properly stored, and visually appealing.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Previous customer service or food service experience preferred (minimum 3 months).

• Basic math, communication, and customer service skills.

• Ability to operate kitchen equipment and cash register safely.

• Team-oriented with strong attention to detail.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.

• Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

• Regular bending, reaching, and repetitive tasks.

• Exposure to cold environments, raw seafood, and cleaning agents.

• Work around kitchen equipment and moderate noise levels.
