Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for a cash bank. Must have general cashiering experience and be able to operate the hotel's POS system and accurately account for all cash, credit card, and room charge sales. Complete required daily report and recording of sales.

Essential:

1. Take food and beverage orders and input sales using the hotel's POS system.
2. Check POS system to insure correct pricing for all items. Make necessary corrections in system.
3. Report any equipment in need of repair or maintenance.
4. Maintain a clean, safe, orderly and sanitary work area.
5. Receive payment for items sold and follows hotel's cash handling procedures; responsible for a cash bank.
6. Complete sales or other reports as required.
7. Breakdown and clean equipment at the end of each day.
8. Turn in receipts and paperwork with daily sales reports.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Other Duties:

•    Attend meetings and events as necessary.
•    Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

Work Hours:

•    Must have flexible availability and be able to work varied shifts and holidays.
•    Must be available to work on weekends and holidays.
•    Days off may vary depending on nature of business

Equipment Use:

1.    Proficient in the use of the hotel POS system, credit card machine.
2.    Ability to use the telephone
3.    Ability to push/pull a utility cart to transport equipment

Mental and Physical Demands:

•    Must be able to work under pressure and deal with situations which may be deemed stressful during busy periods.
•    Must be able to work indoors and outdoors with occasional exposure to hot/cold/humid/rainy conditions.
•    Must be able to multitask, prioritize and organize workload in a fast-paced environment to ensure deadlines are met.
•    Must be able to stand, walk and/or sit continuously to perform the essential job functions for the full duration of the shift.
•    Must be able to push, lift and carry 25 pounds.

Communication Demands:

•    Must be able to speak, read and write proficiently in the English language.
•    Must be able to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect information.
•    Must be able to effectively deal with guest concerns in a friendly and positive manner, including listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy, patience, tact and diplomacy with the guest and providing positive and proactive solutions.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
•    High School Diploma or equivalent required.
•    Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position.
•    Minimum one year general cashiering experience
•    Department of Heath TB Clearance
