Storekeeper I (JO 48-26)

Essential Functions for the Position:

Individual to perform warehouse‑related duties such as, but not limited to, cleaning; sweeping; mopping; delivery; pick‑up; packing and unpacking; loading and unloading; arranging and labeling bins; stocking and restocking bins; warranty functions; operating lift trucks and trucks on the roadway; issuing materials and supplies to mechanics and other company employees; and other related duties as required.

Special Knowledge & Skills:

1. Inventory control activities or similar experience with public mass transit inventory is preferred.
2. Perform warranty‑related functions.
3. Ability to comprehend and utilize parts and repair manuals associated with vehicle industry.
4. Computer skills are required.
5. Must have above‑average mechanical aptitude.
6. Ability to operate miscellaneous warehouse tools and machines required.
7. Must be familiar with current safety equipment and procedures.

Education, Training & Experience:

1. Must be high school or trade school graduate.
2. Must have minimum of two (2) years' experience in a Materials Management environment such as a warehouse storeroom.

Other Job Requirement & Conditions:

1. Must have excellent work performance and attendance records.
2. Must have effective written and oral communication skills.
3. Relief supervisory skills highly desirable.
4. Must have a valid "Type 3" Hawaii State driver's license with clean traffic abstract.
5. Must be able to meet standard physical requirements and pass Company‑sponsored medical examination and drug screening.
6. Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
7. Must be able to pass and maintain Forklift Certification.
8. Must be willing and able to work various shifts, overtime and holiday duty as directed, with days off as assigned.  Must also be able to work at various warehouse locations.
