Purpose of Position: Responsible for the execution of one or several Trillium engineering projects, including cost, schedule, and technical performance. Oversees project lifecycle and manages activities to meet company goals and financial targets, working cross-functionally in a matrix organization. Assists engineering technical leadership by providing key project engineering and project management expertise in development activities through project execution planning and management against a product roadmap. Develops project schedule forecasts and planning efforts that support near term and long-range engineering development efforts.

Summary of Essential Job Functions: 

  • Develop project execution plans to ensure internal and external alignment with business and customer objectives.
  • Estimate and communicate internal resourcing needs supporting project execution.
  • Identifies and manages project risks and opportunities.
  • Communicate to stakeholders and senior leadership project status and health.
  • Lead project meetings with functional support staff and project reviews with customer and/or Trillium executive staff.
  • Develop and implement detailed statements of work for internal development and customer contracted projects.
  • Track and report project status, project and project portfolio metrics, input into development timelines and product roadmap.
  • Actively monitors project scope.
  • Delegate tasks to team members according to their individual skill sets, experience, and abilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

  • Five years’ experience leading complex engineering projects
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program.
  • Master's degree or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • Knowledge of gimbals, payloads, and/or operations of small UAS tactical.
  • Demonstrated skills in budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and project documentation.
  • Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams (engineering, procurement, contractors, manufacturing/production).

Physical Demands of Position:

  • Physically able to lift up to 20 pounds (materials/equipment)
  • Effective use of computer, laptop, cell phone and other mobile device to exchange information.
