Terminal Operator

The ideal candidate will be responsible for unloading Sulphur barges and loading trucks. As well as operation and maintenance at Mosaic’s Non-Union Distribution Facilities.

Where will you work: Primary site will be at Mosaic Gulf Services (1015 McClosky Blvd., Tampa, FL 33605)

Schedule: DuPont Schedule 4 days on, 7 off, 4 nights on, 3 off, 3 days on, 1 day off, 3 nights on, 3 off. 12-hour shifts (6am/pm to 6am/pm).

What you’ll do:

  • Demonstrate commitment to environmental, health, and safety by complying with all EHS policies, wearing proper PPE for the job, reporting unsafe work conditions and/or accidents promptly and attending and participating in all safety meetings and training.
  • Demonstrate positive behavioral qualities such as striving to be a team player, dependable, approachable, and a continuous learner.
  • Through the progression program, train and demonstrate competency in all standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Attain and maintain competency in the following operations positions, to include loading operator, vessel person-in-charge, heavy equipment operator including skid-steer and high reach.
  • Through the progression program, train and demonstrate competency in all maintenance procedures.
  • Attain and maintain competency in the following maintenance activities, to include preventive maintenance procedures on truck and truck loading stations, mobile equipment repair, and maintenance of boilers and tank vessels.

What you’ll need: ​

  • High school diploma or GED certificate is preferred. Associate degree in process technology discipline is preferred.
  • Entry level - Chemical or Industrial Operations preferred
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience working in Industrial setting and operating mobile equipment of industrial or manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) – Required once in role.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Maintain clean work environment and comply with all safety and environmental policies; Adaptability to make judgments when operating equipment to distribute; Proficiency and comprehension reading and writing English; Comfortable with simple math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
  • Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments.
