Job Description:
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the forklift operator is responsible for the daily movement of inventory within the warehouse to ensure delivery readiness and quality of product.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma
Current certification for Forklift, Reach
Experience & Skills:
Three (3) to five (5) years of forklift operator experience within a food manufacturing environment
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Food Safety and Health and Safety as they relate to the food industry a strong asset
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive, unload and store incoming product.
Locate, pick, load and ship outgoing product.
Verify product condition and quality upon shipping or receiving.
Follow tag creation procedures for outbound and inbound orders.
Adhere templates to outgoing containers to ensure Shipping staff understand outbound production location.
If required, update P.O. number according to pick ticket and alter quantities.
Assemble orders as directed by Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.
Work with order picker as necessary by highlighting the appropriate pick tickets.
Report malfunctioning tags or equipment.
Assist with inventory management and physical cycle counts.
Comply with all company health and safety policies and procedures.- Other duties as assigned by the Operations

Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to stand for a period of eight hours
Ability to squat, bend and lift to 50 pounds
Ability to sit in chair for up to eight hours
Ability to reach above their hands and full range of motion
