About this Role

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking a customer-focused Help Desk Analyst I to provide first-level technical support to engineering and business users. This role is responsible for resolving routine hardware, software, and application issues while delivering excellent customer service. The analyst will support engineering applications, workstations, mobile devices, and enterprise systems, escalating more complex issues as needed.

 

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for technical support requests via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, printer, network, and connectivity issues.
  • Support engineering and business applications, including CAD, GIS, project management, and productivity tools.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Assist with software installations, updates, and user account management.
  • Document incidents, service requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within the ticketing system.
  • Escalate unresolved or complex issues to senior analysts and specialized support teams.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including equipment setup and access provisioning.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service while meeting service level objectives.

 

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a Help Desk, Desktop Support, or Technical Support role.
  • Basic understanding of engineering applications and workflows.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, ticketing systems, and remote support tools.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting engineering, utility, construction, or infrastructure organizations.
  • Exposure to applications such as AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, ArcGIS, Bluebeam, Autodesk products, or similar engineering tools.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or other relevant technical certifications.
