About this Role

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking an IT Field Technician I or II to provide onsite technical support for corporate offices, construction sites, and power generation projects. This hands-on role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT hardware, software, and network connectivity to ensure reliable operations across field and office environments. The ideal candidate enjoys working independently, solving technical problems, and supporting users in fast-paced project settings.

What You'll Do

  • Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
  • Provide onsite and remote technical support to end users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Assist with deployment, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment, including switches, wireless access points, and firewalls.
  • Perform workstation setups, device imaging, software installations, and user account provisioning.
  • Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and other business-critical applications.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure accurate documentation of equipment and support activities.
  • Assist with technology rollouts, upgrades, relocations, and infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams and vendors to resolve technical issues and support operational needs.
  • Follow company cybersecurity, safety, and operational procedures.
  • Travel to project sites and office locations as needed to provide field support.

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of IT support, desktop support, or field services experience.
  • Working knowledge of networking technologies, including Cisco and/or Meraki environments.
  • Experience supporting endpoint devices, printers, mobile devices, and enterprise software applications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project locations 50% of the time.
