About this Role

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking a skilled Senior Procurement Specialist to support procurement and supply chain operations for power generation, renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), data centers, substations, transmission, and industrial infrastructure projects. This mid-level role is responsible for managing procurement activities for assigned projects, supporting strategic sourcing initiatives, administering purchase orders, coordinating supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services required for successful Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project execution. 

What You'll Do

 
  • Procure equipment, materials, and services for EPC projects in accordance with project schedules, budgets, and technical requirements.
  • Manage RFQs, RFPs, bid evaluations, purchase orders, contracts, and change orders.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
  • Administer purchase orders from requisition through final delivery, ensuring contractual compliance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors, and service providers.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, Construction, and Project Controls teams to support project execution.
  • Monitor supplier performance, material status, and procurement risks while driving on-time delivery of critical equipment and materials.
  • Coordinate expediting, logistics, transportation, and material tracking activities.
  • Support cost control, forecasting, spend analysis, and procurement reporting initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier performance enhancement.

 

What You'll Bring

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 7+ years of procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, or contract administration experience.
  • Industrial construction, EPC, power, utility, manufacturing, or infrastructure experience preferred.
  • Experience procuring equipment, materials, and subcontracted services.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP/procurement systems (JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, Coupa, Ariba, etc.).
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
