CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD

Location: Multiple Locations Throughout the United States and U.S. Territories

Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain required Government credentials and installation access

Position Summary

The DEERS/RAPIDS Verifying Official performs customer service, identity verification, enrollment processing, and identification card issuance functions in accordance with Department of Defense regulations, RAPIDS operating procedures, and established Government policies. Personnel support daily operations at Army Reserve Identification Card facilities and are responsible for maintaining accurate records, protecting sensitive information, and delivering professional customer service.

Verifying Officials are expected to obtain and maintain required RAPIDS certifications and Site Security Manager (SSM) qualifications as required for their assigned location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verify identity and review eligibility documentation in accordance with RAPIDS/DEERS procedures.
  • Process DEERS enrollment transactions and updates.
  • Issue Common Access Cards (CACs).
  • Issue Uniformed Services Identification Cards (USIDs).
  • Process family member enrollment transactions.
  • Review DD Forms 1172 and related supporting documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with RAPIDS operating procedures and security requirements.
  • Protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and sensitive records.
  • Maintain appointment schedules and customer records.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and documentation issues.
  • Complete required RAPIDS, DEERS, and Government training requirements.
  • Maintain current certification and credentialing requirements.
  • Obtain and maintain Site Security Manager (SSM) certification as required.
  • Support audits, inspections, and quality assurance reviews.
  • Participate in continuity of operations and mission-essential services activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in administrative support, personnel administration, customer service, military personnel support, human resources, or related fields.
  • Experience using automated databases and computer systems.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to obtain RAPIDS certification.
  • Ability to obtain Site Security Manager certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain installation access and Government credentials.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current or prior RAPIDS certification.
  • Current or prior Site Security Manager (SSM) certification.
  • DEERS experience.
  • Military personnel administration experience. 
  • Army Reserve, National Guard, or Active-Duty personnel support experience.
  • Prior Federal contract support experience.
  • Experience working with sensitive records and protected information.
