Activity Assistant (Part time and Per Diem - As Needed)

Galleria Woods – Hoover, Alabama
Schedule: Part time every other weekend: 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.  Per Diem weekdays:8:30a - 4p  (Full time hours currently available).  
Pay Rate: $14–$18 per hour based on experience

What You’ll Do

• Engage and build relationships with senior residents
• Plan and lead a variety of activities, including:
  • Games, concerts, and exercise classes
  • Arts & crafts and bingo
  • Holiday and special event decorating
  • Field trips, lunch and dinner outings
• Assist with creating flyers, calendars, and activity materials
• Bring creativity, energy, and enthusiasm to every day

 

What We’re Looking For

• Associate degree preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in activities, social services, recreational therapy, or a healthcare setting
• Background in music, art, or drama is a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Genuine passion for working with seniors
