Job Title: EHS Safety Co-op/Intern 

Mission: Provide process safety support in both machining and assembly processes

What would your typical day look like?

  • Validate current safety processes to ensure productivity, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, and document, communicate and conduct training on improvements
  • Analyze best practices and develop safety processes to achieve plant objectives through problem solving
  • Assist safety team in other various operations safety improvement or special projects
  • Assist Team in training new hire or skilled trades
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required; position is subject to change as the needs of the department change

Safety & Quality 

  • Work in a safe manner and encourage others to do so
  • Report all unsafe acts and conditions immediately
  • Use our Innovation process and the team concept to improve safety in the plant
  • Be proactively involved with improving working conditions

Academic and Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, engineering or related field 
  • 2 years of undergraduate studies working towards bachelor's degree
  • Experience in automotive/manufacturing industry 
  • Knowledge of OSHA/Safety standards and practices

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient computer skills/Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
