Night Shift - approximate shift times of 3 p.m. - 1 a.m.

Starting pay for second shift candidates is $27/hr. This includes a $22/hr. base pay + $5/hr. shift differential. Pay will be determined based on experience. Experienced candidates are preferred.

Hopkinsville Aggregates is an open-pit limestone quarry seeking a night shift Maintenance Technician for our operation located in Hopkinsville, KY. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but not limited to:

Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on stationary crushing, screening, and conveying equipment.

  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on stationary crushing, screening, and conveying equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues with crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, and other plant systems.
  • Replace or repair bearings, belts, pulleys, motors, gearboxes, liners, and other plant components as needed.
  • Conduct welding, cutting, and fabrication work to repair or modify equipment and structures.
  • Assist with equipment installation, alignment, and setup of new plant components.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
  • Work closely with production personnel to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient plant operations.聽
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust, etc.).
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time throughout the workday, as required to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to聽50 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Operate mobile equipment (e.g., forklift, skid steer, manlift) as needed for maintenance tasks.
  • Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and communicate equipment issues promptly to supervisors.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have dedication to safe work practices
  • Previous maintenance experience
  • Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed
  • Must be willing to work a regular 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. shift
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Must be willing to work outside in a variety of conditions
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening
