Position Summary
The Materials Coordinator manages and tracks Logistics and Materials products, services, and results for the Hopkinsville facility, creating value within the Metalsa Operating System environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Specific
Define the strategy of the operation model to supply the logistics services of the facility.
Define roles and responsibilities in the team.
Department Budget Control and Plant Transformation cost plan.
Lead Logistics projects in the facility.
Development & training plan of the team – input to annual Training plan.
Controlling inventory maximizing utilization of plant ERP current systems (QAD).
Adjustments in Sales and Build Forecasting focused on Plant financial targets (SIOP Process).
Guarantee the execution of Logistics policies and procedures in the facility.
Monitor indicators and promote continuous improvement of results.
Perform additional responsibilities as required; this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change.

Education and Experience
Education
Bachelor's Degree or similar in the Field of Supply Chain required and preferred.
Master's Degree or certification on Field preferred.
Experience
5 years experience in Logistics Management or Senior Supervisor required.
Proven inventory control experience required.
Proven supervisory experience required.
Participation in a significant role in Operating System – either deploying a practice, training in a tool or methodology, leading problem solving, or other applied leadership experience preferred.
Materials Delivery Plan standardization and Optimization (Value Stream mapping and Kaizens) preferred.
Technical Skills
Proficient computer skills/Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point).
Basic Trouble Materials logistics skills.
General quality systems methodologies (e.g. IATF 16949).
Value chain knowledge.
ERP systems (e.g. SAP, QAD, etc.).
Experience in the application of systems methodologies (e.g. Kan-ban, JIT, etc.).
Quality Management Systems knowledge.
Human Development Management.
SIOP Planning management.
Cross functional leadership.
Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Management Fundamentals.
Core Manufacturing Processes (Stamping, Assembly, Painting, Welding, Hydroforming).

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to use hands to handle or touch.
