Mission/Objective
To Provide Leadership and direction to Metalsa Teammates through the Metalsa Model to support our customer.


What does your day look like?
•    Proactively improve safety in plant to achieve plant goal of 0 accidents
•    Facilitate and develop topics for communication at daily safety and area meetings
•    Champion timely resolution of all safety concerns and/or near misses
•    Work with maintenance to ensure equipment has proper PM and are safe to operate
•    Enforce area and plant safety procedures
•    Work closely with quality area to create and maintain systems that ensure quality products
•    Support teammates in their efforts to consistently exceed customer expectations
•    Communicate potential quality concerns and maintain customer and TS requirements
•    Enforce area and plant quality procedures, and monitor and track quality activities for production area
•    Coordinate and oversee rotation of production activities in the area to ensure line efficiency and customers’ needs are met
•    Monitor standardized work is being followed
•    Plan ahead changeovers to minimize disruption of production
•    Actively encourage participation in idea program by effectively resolving and implementing teammates’ ideas
•    Identify training opportunities to develop and maintain a highly motivated and capable team
•    Lead efforts to reduce cost and improve efficiency to meet planned/plant objectives
•    Conduct training for teammates
•    Gather information and auditing of daily reports


SAFETY & QUALITY 
•    Proactively improve safety in the plant to achieve plant goal of zero accidents
•    Facilitate and develop topics for communication at daily safety meetings
•    Champion the timely resolution of all safety concerns and / or near misses
•    Work with maintenance to ensure all equipment has proper p.m. and is safe to operate
•    Enforce all area and plant safety procedures
•    Work closely with the quality area to create and maintain systems that ensure quality products
•    Support Teammates in their efforts to consistently exceed customer expectations, maximize production and quality while minimizing downtime and scrap
•    Communicate all potential quality concerns
•    Enforce all area and plant quality procedures
•    Maintain all customer and TS requirements
o    Actively encourage participation in idea program by effectively resolving and implementing Teammate ideas


CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT/ TRAINING
•    Identify training opportunities to develop and maintain a highly motivated and capable team
•    Lead efforts to reduce cost and improve efficiency to meet planned / plant objectives


Academic and Experience
•    Two years of post-high school education 
•    Combination of education and manufacturing experience
•    Participation in a significant role on the MOS, either deploying a practice, training in a tool or methodology, leading problem solving or other applied leadership experience


Technical Skills
•    Proficient computer skills/Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point)
•    Experience with automated manufacturing, panel views, and assembly processes
•    Experience with Safety Programs
•    Ability to identify and resolve Quality / Productivity / Safety concerns
•    Quality Management Systems
•    Human Development Management
•    Cross functional leadership
•    Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Management Fundamentals.
•    Core Manufacturing Processes (Stamping, Assembly, Painting, Welding, Hydroforming)
