Job Overview:
Performs basic and routine duties associated with preventive maintenance, equipment maintenance and building and grounds upkeep.
Safely and efficiently perform mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance tasks.
Troubleshoot & replace electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Safety
- Adheres to all Pregis Safety rules and
- Assures all teammates adhere to all Pregis safety policies and procedures.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain safe working habits. Identify and correct unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a clean, safe project work area and maintenance shop
- Maintain building and grounds, paint, caulk, etc. utilizing power equipment and standard garden implements in a safe manner.
- Utilize hand tools, in a safe manner, such as power tools, bench grinder, drills and saws.
- Performs routine preventive maintenance tasks to include the ability to read and interpret gauges.
- Lubricate all plant equipment, clean blowers, maintain fluid levels, replace filters and perform additional routine preventive maintenance duties that may be assigned.
- Complete preventive maintenance reports
- Perform preventive maintenance activities.
- Document procedures and equipment profiles reflecting activities performed to ensure longer life and minimal downtime.
- Update preventive maintenance files.
- Assist on plant projects as needed.
- Contribute ideas toward the development and implementation of projects.
- Assist in any plant function as required.
- Be familiar with the operation of all plant equipment, interpret and document results and make appropriate adjustments.
- Responsible for high quality execution of duties as measured by safety, accuracy and timeliness & communication.
- Be able to work any day of the week, overtime and any shift.

Qualifications:
- Assist in or ability to repair, install, and maintain plant machinery and equipment to provide accurate and timely repair of machinery and equipment.
- Have proven mechanical and electrical maintenance skills.
- Have proven troubleshooting skills on hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic circuits to correct problems.
- Be knowledgeable of AC and DC voltages, 3 phase power, AC and DC drives, distribution systems, HVAC and how to use measuring instruments.
