VPK Lead Teachers at The Learning Experience are ambassadors of happiness, creating opportunities every day that reflect our mission to make a positive difference in the life of a child, their families, and the communities we serve.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess a compassionate attitude and a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning.
Role Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall classroom management, leading a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
- Serve as a role model, using a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning.
- Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum, working with children in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
- Plan and present effective lesson plans (teacher manuals provided each month) and teaching strategies for students.
- Utilize a variety/range of learning modalities in each lesson.
- Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play, learn and grow.
- Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions.
- Support your center’s success, partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment and engagement.
- Build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.
Qualifications:Â
- At least 3 - 5Â years of professional teaching experience (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related degree or CDA (Required)
- Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)
- CPR and First Aid Certification (Required)
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. (Required)
- Must meet all state specific guidelines and certifications for the role
