Description

The Maintenance Technician is a critical member of the operations team, responsible for ensuring the continuous uptime of our industrial robots, production tooling, and facility infrastructure. You will bridge the gap between high-tech automation maintenance and general facility upkeep, ensuring that both our machines and our physical workspace are safe, efficient, and compliant.

Core Responsibilities

  • Robotics & Equipment PM: Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on industrial robots, specialized tooling, and mechanical equipment to eliminate unplanned downtime.
  • Multi-Craft Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair faulty electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical hardware; execute general "handyman" tasks to maintain structural integrity.
  • Emergency Response: Serve as a first responder for urgent facility calls (leaks, power outages, equipment failure); must be available for occasional after-hours support to protect production continuity.
  • Safety & Compliance: Execute all work in strict accordance with OSHA safety regulations, local electrical codes, and environmental standards.
  • Digital Documentation: Maintain accurate, real-time logs of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory using our digital Work Order Management System.
  • Infrastructure Upkeep: Manage the maintenance of structural components, including lighting systems and plant plumbing.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical Certification or Journeyman card in a related field (Electrical or Mechanical) is highly preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding of 3-phase electrical systems, mechanical assemblies, and industrial plumbing.
  • Robotics Experience: Familiarity with the inspection and maintenance of robotic arms and end-of-arm tooling.
  • Diagnostic Proficiency: Expert-level skill in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment (Multimeters, etc.) to identify root causes of failure.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Competencies

  • Problem-Solving: A "first-time fix" mentality with the ability to diagnose complex issues under time pressure.
  • Accountability: High sense of ownership over the parts inventory and the cleanliness of the maintenance shop.
  • Urgency: A proactive approach to identifying potential breakdowns before they occur.
