Water Online, is a B2B digital marketing company that helps connect buyers and suppliers in the water industry. The Business Development Manager role is consultative, meaning it's about building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, helping clients achieve their marketing and sales goals rather than simply selling a product. The Business Development Manager focuses on understanding each client's needs, developing long-term partnerships, and delivering value through digital marketing solutions like web platforms, email campaigns, online events, and its proprietary "Follow Your Buyer" methodology.  We are looking for professionals who are driven, disciplined, and committed to helping clients succeed.

In this role, the Business Development Manager will be responsible not only for pursuing new business opportunities but also for managing an established book of business. That means balancing new client acquisition with maintaining and growing relationships with current customers.  We provide a comprehensive training program to ensure you're fully equipped with the knowledge, strategies, solutions and tools needed to confidently support our clients and prospects while delivering the value that sets our company apart. This role is based out of our Horsham office.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and build relationships with the key stakeholders across each client organization who influence or make decisions regarding the services we provide.
  • Develop an expert-level understanding of each client's industry, including market trends, competitive landscape, growth opportunities, common challenges, and buyer-supplier dynamics.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of each client's business objectives, priorities, challenges, and the strategies they are pursuing to achieve their goals.
  • Design, communicate, and implement customized solutions that address client challenges and deliver measurable business value.
  • Gather, analyze, and leverage data, insights, and other supporting information to build compelling, stakeholder-specific business cases for proposed solutions.
  • Lead negotiations that create mutually beneficial outcomes and successfully execute client agreements.
  • Continuously monitor program performance using data, analytics, and client feedback to evaluate progress toward achieving the client's objectives.
  • Establish an ongoing feedback and communication process that provides stakeholders with meaningful performance insights, measurable outcomes, and strategic recommendations for continuous improvement and future opportunities.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  •  3 – 5 years' experience in Sales/Business Development preferred
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity
  • Conflict able – not conflict averse, not conflict prone, but conflict ready
  • Absence of call reluctance
  • High attention to detail
  • High initiative
  • The desire to help customers and co-workers
